Alfred Morris who runs the local youth camp in Kentucky is not looking forward to the chaos the coming camping season is sure to bring. He is just grateful that an old pro such as Elizabeth Haynes will be there to bring calm to the madness. After stopping to pick up the two girls he suggests they go to an old abandon barn near the camp to look for items which may be needed at the camp.
The Wright family whose farm that has been in the family for generations has recently sold it to a young couple after the passing of their mother. Billy Wright and his family are at the old farm to meet with the real estate agent Jimmy Carson to make one last walk through before the new family takes ownership of the farm. While looking around they notice their son Tony is missing but Jimmy tells them he is at the other barn the family owns in the woods. Billy assures Jimmy that the family does not own any barn in the woods and after some discussion they all head toward the barn.
Unbeknownst to all of them, the old barn that sets quietly in the woods possesses a deep dark secret. The barn is a haven for a coven of evil witches led by a high priest named Mara, who will soon cast a spell so powerful that it takes control over the moon and makes it pass in front of the sun causing an eclipse. During the eclipse, the coven will cast spells that will affect the lives of all three groups. Spells, snails, and puppy dog tails sounds like a child’s nursery rhyme but it will have a bloody consequence for some.
